WATCH: Crane Removes Dump Truck That Fell Through Quincy Garage

The dump truck that fell through a Quincy garage roof is out, but people won't be able to get their cars until at least Friday afternoon.

QUINCY, MA — A dump truck that fell through the roof of a parking garage and left about 50 cars trapped inside was removed with a crane Thursday morning. Police said the truck was removed just after 4 a.m., but the building inspector needs to clear the building before people can get their cars. Police said they hope to have the cars out of the garage by Friday afternoon.

The dump truck fell through a parking garage at Furnace Brook Parkway near Copeland Street Wednesday morning. Police evacuated the parking garage, and no one was hurt.

According to police, the truck ended up in the garage because of directions the GPS on the driver's phone gave him.
