Adopt A Family - Deadline Soon!

For over 30 years, the Reading Adopt-A-Family program has worked to help Reading families celebrate the holiday season. Families seeking assistance can apply to receive food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas, and gifts for children under 18 years of age. Recipient families must be Reading residents, have at least one child under 18 years of age at home, and provide proof of need. Donors can choose to provide one or more meals and/or gifts for the children. Donors include individuals, families, social organizations, scout troops, school groups, and work teams. Donors and Recipients are matched and identified by number so that all participants remain anonymous.

If you would like to participate, as a donor or recipient, please call Reading Adopt-A-Family at 781-942-6680 or email ReadingAAF@gmail.com without delay. Providing an email address, if possible, will ensure the quickest receipt of the appropriate forms. Applications must be completed and returned by October 26th, 2016. Drop off and distribution of donations will take place on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and the Thursday before Christmas.
