Austin Preparatory School in Reading announces three transitions to its Board of Trustees.
READING –Austin Preparatory School in Reading announces three transitions to its Board of Trustees.
Longtime trustee and current vice chairman, the Rev. Dr. Joseph W. Wilkes III of Melrose, is stepping down from the board. During his 37-year tenure, Wilkes was instrumental in advancing the mission of Austin Prep, helping the school grow from an all-boys high school into a competitive middle and upper school for both young men and women. An alumnus of the class of 1971, Wilkes’ two children also graduated from Austin Prep. He has been rector at St. Andrew’s Church in Methuen since 2007. Wilkes also owns a dental practice in Boston.
Two-year trustee James W. Noga of Magnolia has been appointed vice chairman. The parent of an Austin Prep alumna, Noga is vice president and chief information officer at the nonprofit Partners HealthCare. He is an active member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and the Health Information and Management Systems Society. He is also an instructor in Northeastern University’s Graduate Health Informatics Program.

Mark S. Duggan of Greenland, N.H., has been appointed to the board. An alumnus from the class of 1972, Duggan retired in 2009 as the chief executive officer and president of Nike Bauer, where he helped make the hockey equipment subsidiary of Nike an industry forerunner. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the New Hampshire Special Olympics and New England Council of Special Olympics.
