Celebrate Earth Day At Parker Saturday
Event kicks off at 10 a.m. with information on solar, electric, recycling, and more.

Even if you're too young to appreciate the music of Earth, Wind & Fire, you can certainly appreciate the theme of Reading's 10th annual celebration of Earth Day.
Sponsored by the Reading Climate Advisory Committee, Saturday's event will take place at the Parker Middle School between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. As promoted, the day will have cool (and hot) ideas for energy at home and on the go.

Solar panels (photovoltaic and thermal), electric vehicles & plug-in hybrids with vehicle chargers,LED lightbulbs, rebates, SolarChoice community solar installations, home energy conservation, air heat exchangers, water conservation, recycling, Community Supported Agriculture programs (a.k.a. CSAs or farm shares), Walkable Reading, and the Town Forest.
The Reading Climate Advisory Committee is an official town advisory committee, comprised of concerned citizen volunteers seeking to achieve environmental, economic and societal sustainability by raising public awareness and influencing the community, including its government, to reduce energy use and foster environmental stewardship in a cost effective manner.
