Elderly Man Killed By Snow Plow: Police

READING, MA - An elderly man was struck by a snow plow and later died from his injuries.

Police responded Monday afternoon to a report of an accident between a plow and pedestrian on 249 Lowell Street, police said.

The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The State Police Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident.

“Our hearts go out to everyone who was involved in this tragic accident. Because this is an
ongoing investigation, we cannot offer any further details or comments at this time. A further statement may be issued once the Accident Reconstruction Team completes its investigation,” the Reading Police Department said in a statement.
