ANNOUNCES ITS 2011 HOLIDAY FAIRE
St. Athanasius Parish, one of Reading’s two Roman Catholic Churches, is holding its 2011 Annual Holiday Faire soon in its Lower Church Hall and Parish Activities Center located at 300 Haverhill Street. Devoted volunteers dedicated to the success of this project are creating another memorable community event and a guaranteed-to-be successful fundraiser.
The Faire begins from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday evening, November 18th and will continue on Saturday morning, November19th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in both parish facility locations. Thanks to generous community donations, goods available will include jewelry, bakery items, knitted goods, a country store, a white elephant room, many handmade and personalized craft items and hand-decorated Christmas wreaths. Various parish groups have also teamed up to contribute raffle baskets on varying themes, appealing to both young and old alike. A high-light of the event will be a number of larger silent auction items on which to bid and a grand drawing raffle with multiple lucky winners.

Kids crafts and activities, including face painting, tattoos, and a kids store will be available. Also, there will be a large selection of recycled children’s toys, books and other youngster’s items for sale and, of course, Santa will be present! This event promises good food, entertainment and more with no admission fee. Please save the dates of (Fri. & Sat.) November 18th & 19th.
