
CREATIVE ARTS and other local groups and artists invite you to attend a FREE Community Arts Festival, Open House and Perform-a-thon this Saturday, March 3rd. Local arts and cultural organizations are coming together with local businesses, artists and other nonprofits to offer a fun-filled event from 11am-2pm on Saturday.
The Community Arts Festival, held at CREATIVE ARTS, 25 Woburn Street, Reading, inside the First Congregational Church, includes activities for all ages including arts and craft booths with items for sale, face painting, free chair massages, child ids, kids project tables, free popcorn, raffles and more.
The Perform-a-thon will include three music & theatrical concerts on the top of each hour highlighting CREATIVE ARTS’ students and faculty, local performers, and even a scene teaser from Quannapowitt Players upcoming show, “The Foreigner” at 11:30am.

Vendors include:
- Jewelry and artwork will be for sale by Stella Designs, Supernaturals, EMARC and others.
- The Burbank Y will bring out their prize wheel and have a drawing.
- Rich Wallner from New York Life will be back to do free child id kits.
- Reading Recreation will have info on their summer programs and will be giving away free popcorn.
- Artist & Craftsman will be back again and offering two kids projects – felt creatures and paper beads.
- Lauren White Dance School will have information on their programs and a chance for young children to explore creative movement with manipulatives.
- Northeast Youth Ballet will have information on their programs and plans for their move into the former Christian Science Church next door.
- Tansy from Alma Terra Health will be providing free 5 minute chair massages.
- Other informational booths include: Reading Cultural Council, Connect the Tots, Reading Society of Craftsmen, Reading Education Foundation, and more.
As part of the Festival and Open House, CREATIVE ARTS will be taking registrations for Spring Classes, have information and pre-registration info for Summer Camps and Music Lessons, free arts & crafts activities for the kids, have artwork on display, and have a raffle, including a chance to win two tickets to Quannapowitt’s “Foreigner”.
