Organ Concert at Old South United Methodist Church

Please join us for spring evening of beautiful music at Old South United Methodist Church in Reading on Sunday, March 31st at 7:30 p.m., when Susan Holloway will present a Lenten Organ Meditation.  Vocal soloists Lauren Kimerer of Reading, and William Holloway of Haverhill will be joining her. These concerts are free and open to anyone who would like to listen to beautiful music!

Susan’s recital will include Johann Sebastian Bach’s Partita Diverse, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Laudate Dominum.  Lauren and Bill will join Susan’s piano accompaniment to perform Franz Schubert’s Standchen, and a duet Aria from J.S. Bach’s Cantata 140.  The performance will culminate with Theodore Dubois’s, Sortie on the organ.

Susan Holloway is the Music Director at Old South United Methodist Church. She has been sharing her talent and love of music with a series of afternoon concerts throughout the year, each performance with a seasonal theme.  Susan grew up on the North Shore in Wenham, and began studying the organ at age 13 with Robert Littlefield. She graduated from Boston University’s School of the Performing Arts with a degree in Organ Performance.   Prior to her return to New England, Susan and her family lived in the Austin, Texas area for 25 years, where she was the music director for several different area churches.
