Educator and Entertainer David Downs will appear at the Reading Public Library on Tuesday, December 27 at 7 p.m. to present The Marvelous, Amusing Quack Medicine Show.
A retired teacher and member of the Living History Association, Downs has assembled a unique and fascinating collection of antique medical and surgical instruments which he utilizes to discuss the extraordinary medical techniques practiced during the 18th and 19th century.
Using a clever mix of history, humor and intriguing facts, this entertaining program is appropriate for all ages.
