The Reading Lions Club’s 9th Annual Reading Friends and Family Day 2012 is Reading's start of summer community fair! You can look forward to a fun-filled day of activities, food, give-aways, entertainment and information for all ages. Plus Fireworks!
Reading Friends and Family Day Booths and Entertainment open 11:00 A.M. through 3:00 P.M. Check out the booth area for Big Daddy’s Remote Control Race Cars, Laser Tag, Boy Scout rope bridge, train and pony rides, jumpy house, tours of town vehicles, dance and karate demonstrations. Ongoing activities include: a dunk tank, kids building activity, face painting, summer reading sign up, arts and crafts and more. When you need a break from all the excitement, grab a snack and head over to the Entertainment Stage. In addition to all the fun activities this is a chance to find out what is going on in your town! Representatives from many organizations and town departments will be on hand to share information about town happenings.

This year’s activities begin at 9:30 (8:30 regis.) with the FORR Kids Fun Run and finish with a bang! The Friends of Reading Recreation and the Reading Recreation Department worked together to sponsor the fourth annual fireworks performance! From 7:00 – 9:00 there will be live entertainment with Alan and the Alligators and then the fireworks!
