Square Dance at Spence Farm in Woburn co-hosted by The Real School of Music

The Real School of Music together with the Woburn Agricultural council is pleased to invite you to a traditional Appalachian old-time square dance. Used to be that square dancing could be found in almost any American city or town, danced by young and old, black and white, urban and rural folks alike. Today, it's making a comeback as folks re-discover the sheer joy of a foot-stomping, rollicking, barn-shaking dance party. You'll definitely want to check this out and we bet you'll be back for more.

This series features great callers and rockin’ live old-time music by The Hi-Tone Ramblers. ALL are welcome – brand new and experienced dancers. No partner, lessons, or fancy outfit needed. This square dance will be lead by excellent dance leader Will Mentor.

When: Friday, March 23rd, 8PM - 11PM
Where: Spence Farm, 41 Wyman Street Woburn, MA 01801
Cost: $7

Live Music Provided by Real School of Music Instructors Tim Rowell and Cathy Mason and their Appalachian-style string band The Hi-Tone Ramblers (see http://www.hi-toneramblers.com/).

MORE ABOUT HI-TONE RAMBLERS
The Hi-Tone Ramblers’ music, both traditional and original, is inspired by American roots music, both instrumental and vocal; a melting pot of Anglo and African-rooted songs, rhythms, blues and old-time fiddle and banjo tunes – driving and stately, bouncy, quirky and eerily beautiful.
