Fire at the Big Dog Restaurant

The North Reading Fire Department quickly extinguished an electrical fire at the on Main Street Monday afternoon.

The electrical fire, which was reported at about 3:30 p.m., was contained to one wall of the restaurant and no one was injured. 

When asked how it started, Deputy Richard Nash said that the fire was, "electrical in nature." 

There weren't any patrons inside the restaurant, only employees preparing to open for the night. The restaurant will remain closed until the damages have been repaired. The cost has not been determined.
