Five Things: Get a Massage and Remember a Better Year for the Patriots

Enjoy the lull in the weather. Snow could return this week end.

Today is Thursday, Feb. 3. Here are five things you need to know:

It’s over. For now. Breath a sigh of relief. The snow has stopped. Any shoveling you need to do today should be the last of it… until Sunday. Weather Underground predicts another storm will roll in Saturday evening. But, don’t think about that right now. Enjoy that there’s no snow for today, and try to ignore the cold.

Today’s the last day to help some local soldiers. The town may have collected enough money to provide specially-designed sweatshirts for the 300 soldiers from headed to Afghanistan. The town may even collect more than the $7,500 needed to supply the shirts, though any additional funds will also be applied to making the soldiers’ lives easier during their tour of duty.

Get a massage. will be at the today. She will charge a rate of $25 per half hour, which could be a great personal reward after all the shoveling you’ve done recently. Call the senior center for an appointment.

A non-weather-related cancelation. Reading’s meeting has been canceled for tonight. We’re pretty sure it’s not due to the weather.

Our team isn’t in the Super Bowl this weekend, but, on this day in 2002, the New England Patriots won their first ever Super Bowl. Since then, our team took home two more Lombardi Trophies. Take solace in that when you watch the Steelers take on the Packers this weekend.
