Five Things: Happy Hours and Happy Voters
With a brisk day ahead and hot coffee at an annual meeting tonight.

Today is Friday, Feb. 4. Here are five things you need to know:
It’s a Chapstick day. The temperature won’t top 31 degrees today, according to Weather Underground, while the humidity will be low and the winds will be considerable. While a good coat goes without saying, I tend to forget about lip balm. Today is not the day to do that.
Hear what Keurig has to say. The will hold its tonight in North Reading, and Chris Stevens, Vice President of Corporate Relations and Customer Development for Keurig will keynote the event. If his address is anything like his company’s product, it will be well-caffeinated and delivered in small servings.

A chair can help you build strength. Reading’s will host its class today, which stands for balance, energy and strength training. The $2 per class program promises to use chair-based exercises to build stronger bones, muscles and balance. I admire their ingenuity. I usually use a chair for sitting and hanging my jacket.
A Wakefield group invites you to join them for a drink. Wakefield Weeknights and More will hold a at the tonight. The group will meet in the back room on the lower level for martinis, tapas, and socializing and invites you to stop by anytime between 6:30 and 10 p.m.

Remember Our First President. On this day in 1789, the Electoral College unanimously elected George Washington as the United States’ first president. On the same day in 1792, the Electoral College unanimously re-elected Washington to his second term. No American president since has enjoyed such united support.
