Five Things: Theater, Music and Japan in Space

Oh, and it's cold again.

Today is Friday, Feb. 11. Here are five things you need to know:

I’m running out of cold weather advice. I’ve advised warm jackets, keeping skin covered, wearing thick socks and warm boots, drinking hot beverages and staying inside. Well, choose from any of those today. It’s going to be cold again, according to Weather Underground, with temperatures peaking at just 27 degrees in town. And the wind isn’t going to help. At this rate, I’m half temped to hibernate until Spring. If the site suddenly doesn’t get updated tomorrow, you’ll know why.

It’s a night for the theater. The will continue their run of “” tonight as the Reading Memorial High School kicks off its production of “.” While both shows come highly recommended, the high school’s performance will only run for two nights. So, you may want to give that preference.

And live music, too. This will require you to get out of town, but both in Lynnfield and in Wakefield will have live music tonight.

And if you have trouble eating bread, The Natural Food Exchange will host its regular tonight. Drop by to discuss anything relevant to a gluten-free lifestyle.

By launching its first satellite, the Pacific island nation joined the Soviet Union, the United States and France as the world’s only space powers. In other news, France was the third country to reach space. Who knew?
