Funds Being Raised in Support of Reading Butcher Shop Owner
The Old Reading Butcher Shoppe closed its doors on Dec. 31. Here is how you can support the cause.

READING, MA — Residents are banning together in support of a local business owner who recently had to close his business. A gofundme page has been started by Lori Kubilis-Conway on behalf of Greg Chesnulovitch, the owner of the Olde Reading Butcher Shoppe which closed on Dec. 31.
The gofundme has been started to help Chesnulovitch survive financially "while he figures out the next step to reopen his amazing butcher shop in a new location," the page reads.
"Greg has been an invaluable member of the Reading community, supporting many charitable groups and always willing to help those in need," read the gofundme page.

After seven years in business at 169 Haven St., the butcher shop was forced to close due to after a tough year in 2016 due to a variety of factors. In a message to customers, Chesnulovitch cited limited foot traffic and increased costs, a devastating break-in and personal physical issues.
"I found great comfort and joy in being a part of your lives the past 7 years - whether it was sharing a laugh with you and one of your children or petting your dog outside the front door, it gave us a reason to be here," wrote Chesnulovitch in his message to his customers."I call that priceless"
