Hunt Park Playground to Be Dismantled This Week
The playground abuts Eaton Street and Pleasant Street, and the renovations will be funded through the Town of Reading Capital Plan
From the Town of Reading
The Reading Department of Public Works will soon begin to dismantle the existing Hunt Park Playground to make way for renovations that will take place this spring. The dismantling of the playground will begin as early as this week, weather permitting. In its place will be a variety of new playground equipment.
The playground abuts Eaton Street and Pleasant Street and is located next to the Hunt Park Memorial Field, which is home to many Reading Little League games as well as special recreational events like the Challenger Baseball Tournament.

The playground renovation will be funded through the Town of Reading Capital Plan. A subcommittee has been formed to layout expectations for the playground and to decide which equipment to purchase. A public meeting will be scheduled before actual construction begins.
The playground is scheduled to be completed by early summer and will be out of use until that time.
