Join Reading Embraces Diversity (RED) At Festival Of Trees
With the theme Unicorns, RED is donating a stocked bookcase in lieu of a tree.

A release from Reading Embraces Diversity (RED):
Reading Embraces Diversity (RED) is excited to be participating in the Reading Festival of Trees for the first time! RED has decided to be inclusive of all of our members celebrating the winter season by donating a stocked bookcase in lieu of a tree. (We've gotten the okay from the organizers!) The theme for RED's donation will be UNICORNS: Be who you are and celebrate your uniqueness!
As you may know, the Festival of Trees is an annual fundraiser for the Reading Education Foundation and takes place this year on December 1 and 2 at Parker Middle School. More information about the event here.

We want to make things really easy for our volunteers, so we will be collecting donations in a few ways - If you purchase something from the Amazon wishlist, it will be sent directly to us. If you purchase a book from Whitelam, they will hold it for us. For all other donations, you can drop them in the RED Festival of Trees bin at 30 Longfellow Rd. All donations due by November 28th (If you are ordering from Amazon, please confirm delivery dates before ordering). Questions? Email us at ReadingEmbracesDiversity@gmail.com
Another great way to get your donation to us is by attending our November Community Meeting! Wednesday, November 28, 7-9PM @ the Reading Public Library, Community Room B. We will have a full agenda, including a recap of the RED rally against anti-Semitism and the High school candlelight vigil in support of human rights, in celebration of diversity and in opposition to hate, racism and bigotry. We will be facilitating a discussion with speakers from both events about how our organization can best support the community during this difficult time.
We hope you will join us for this important discussion and we hope you will have some fun with the RED Festival of Trees donations! We are excited to provide a unique display this year and thank you in advance for your support!
