Liv Yoga’s New Classes and Services Aim to Heal
All classes cost only five dollars throughout the month of August.
Rejuvenate with in the center of town. This month, the Liv Yoga Studio will offer a slew of new classes and services.
Professional dancer, licensed psychotherapist and mother of two, Cathy Rowe, opened Liv Yoga last October. She was inspired by her desire to bridge the gap between her two professional passions -- the healing arts and psychotherapy. And this latest venture includes new teachers who are also bridging gaps; they specialize in teaching classes that are tailored toward specific populations: Gentle Hatha for 55 Plus, Yoga-Fit for athletes, Hour of Power for dancers, Pilates-Plus, which includes nutrition counseling and recipes, and Woman’s Wisdom Vinyasa – with poetry reading and journaling. If this sounds good to you, take advantage of the sale: $5 per class.
Rowe developed her teaching philosophy through her personal study of yoga and Pilates.
“As a psychotherapist and a dancer, I felt passionately about merging my experiences, and bringing a wellness approach to our yoga classes,” Rowe said. “I think it’s important for each person to know their body.”
