Police Investigating Pedestrian Vs. Car Crash
No charges have been filed in the accident.

A man sustained serious injuries Tuesday afternoon when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Main Street near Starbucks in Reading.
Reading Police Deputy Chief Mark Segalla said the pedestrian, an adult male, was transported to the hospital via ambulance after the collision occurred around 3 p.m., but the patient’s status is unknown at this time. The driver involved was shaken up but not injured, Segalla said.

According to police, the man was not in a crosswalk when he was struck. No charges have been filed, and the accident remains under investigation.
Police closed the road at Ash Street and Summer Street, and Main Street remained closed until at least 5 p.m., according to comments on the Reading Patch Facebook page.
