10:43 a.m.—Police filed complaint applications against Michele L. Curley, 28, of Wakefield, for possession of heroin, shoplifting and receiving stolen property over $250, and William J. Ranucci, 34, of Wakefield, for shoplifting and receiving stolen property over $250 after stopping their car on Walker’s Brook Drive.

1:20 a.m.—A West Street resident reported receiving two calls from an unknown caller instructing him to pick up packages. The caller stated he was concerned about someone breaking into his house, due to recent break-ins around town. Police looked into the matter and discovered the offending calls were messages from Lowes Department Store, and advised the resident to follow up with the store during business hours.
12:18 p.m.—Police received a report of two females in a black Volkswagen Jetta roaming the area of Sanborn Lane. The reporting party stated the females knocked on the door and asked if the resident spoke Portuguese, before leaving the area. Police were unable to locate the Jetta.
4:45 p.m.—A Haven Street resident reported his ex-wife possibly attempting to open accounts in his name, after receiving a suspicious piece of junk mail.
5:22 p.m.—Police responded to a report of a suspicious male walking in the middle of Summer Avenue, but found no one in the area.
6:03 p.m.—A female resident came to the police station to report two males mistreating dogs as they are walking them. Police looked into the matter, but found only a single man walking his dog normally.
8:18 p.m.—A Walnut Street resident reported a group of youths running through her backyard. Police responded but failed to locate the youths in question.
9:05 p.m.—A Glenmere Circle resident reported loud yelling coming from a neighboring house. Police responded and discovered a 19-year-old male had a few friends over and an argument broke out over a cellphone.
9:11 p.m.—A Richards Road resident reported hearing two loud bangs approximately 20 minutes apart. An officer sitting at Timberneck Road and Haverhill Street also heard the noises and searched the area, but to no avail.
