Plymouth Blitz Book Launch with Michael McLaughlin

Join Michael McLaughlin, Reading resident and Head of Middle School at Austin Prep, for the launch of his new book, Plymouth Blitz, on Sunday, September 20, from 3–5 p.m. at Whitelam Books.

The book tells the largely untold story of the April 1941 bombing of Portland Square in Plymouth, England, which killed 71 civilians during World War II. McLaughlin will discuss the years of research behind the book and the personal family connection that inspired him to bring the victims’ stories to light.

The event is free and open to the public.
