Football's Back! And Reading Isn't Happy With 2016 Ending

Practice starts Aug. 18; season begins with home game against Wakefield.

Reading enters 2017 with a rare two-game losing streak after being shocked by Stoneham on Thanksgiving and losing to King Philip in the Division 1A Super Bowl. In total, the Rockets lost four games last fall, their most since 2007. Following is Reading's fall schedule along with the 2016 records of each opponent.

Fri., Sept. 8, 7 p.m. – Wakefield (5-6) at Reading

Fri., Sept. 15, 7 p.m. – Reading at Acton-Boxboro (4-7)

Fri., Sept. 22, 7 p.m. – Reading at Lexington (9-2)

Thur., Sept. 28, 6 p.m. – Reading at Belmont (4-7)

Fri., Oct. 6, 7 p.m. – Woburn (6-5) at Reading

Fri., Oct. 13, 7 p.m. – Arlington (3-8) at Reading

Sat., Oct. 21, 10 a.m. – Reading at Winchester (5-6)

Oct. 27 – Start of playoffs or continuation of regular season

Thur., Nov. 23, 10 a.m. – Stoneham (7-4) at Reading
