Reading Girls' Swimming Does It Again

Led by relays, Rockets win MIAA Division 2 girls' swimming state title for second year in a row.

The Reading girls' swim team made it back-to-back state titles Sunday, winning the MIAA Division 2 title at WPI. The Rockets finished with 388.5 points with Wellesley second followed by Natick.

Reading was led by its relays which made it a state sweep, including the 400 and 200 free relays which finished first and the 200 medley relay which set a meet record in winning with a time of 1:49.90. In individual events, Anna Roberts won the 200 IM in 2:10.90, as well as the 100 breast in 1:05.68, and Molly Hamlin won the 100 free in 52.70.

Last week the Rockets finished second at the North Sectional behind Division 1 state champion Andover.
