MOONSTRUCK THEATER COMPANY is pleased to present FARRAGUT NORTH, opening Friday, April 1st, and running for four performances through Sunday, April 3rd.
Stephen Bellamy is the wunderkind press secretary for Democratic candidate for president Governor Morris. He has built a career that men twice his age would envy but, during a tight presidential primary race, Stephen's meteoric rise falls prey to the backroom politics of more seasoned operatives. FARRAGUT NORTH is a fast-paced drama about the lust for power and the costs one will endure to achieve it.
"The question you gotta ask yourself is whether you want friends, or whether you want to work for the President?"

FARRAGUT NORTH features 8 performers from the Greater Boston area, including Reading resident Lennie Chasse who plays Frank, a reporter for the LA Times.
“FARRAGUT NORTH has very hard hitting dialogue; it immediately engages the audience. It is probably the only production that works like a parallel universe to the real life, with the heightened reality of the show now seeming almost too realistic compared to the shenanigans in the current presidential race,” says Chasse. “The way these characters treat each other behind closed doors is pretty close to how some of the current presidential candidates are treating each other in plain view of the public. It is amazing."

Chasse has been acting for about 8 years now, citing the dual role of Mr. Edsel and the Big Copper for the Mystery Cafe production of PegiSue Got Murdered as his favorite performance. When not onstage, Lennie performs MRI scans at North Shore Medical Center Salem MA. He has also played drums and guitar with many bands in Boston and New York over the years.
FARRAGUT NORTH is directed by Emma Watt. The production will be presented at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal St, Watertown, MA, in the Black Box Theater.
