The town is also offering reminders for residents for trash pickup in wintery conditions.
READING, MA — The town is operating on a one-day delay for trash and recycling pickup due to the winter storm.
The Town of Reading posted the following on Facebook:
Republic Services was out in full force around Reading on Tuesday! We are operating on a one-day delay (so Monday routes were collected on Tuesday, Tuesday routes on Wednesday, and so on). If your route is yet to be collected this week, please see the below reminders about bin placement with (lots of!) snow on the ground:

- Clear an area at the curb or end of your driveway for your bins.
- Please don’t perch bins on top of, or behind, snowbanks. If crews can’t see them, they won’t collect them.
- Collection crews won’t come on to your property, so placing at the street is crucial to a timely pickup!
As always, please utilize SeeClickFix to report issues with pickups: https://www.readingma.gov/274/Service-Requests, and we thank you for your help!
