Reading Select Board Votes To Close Town Meeting Warrant

READING, MA — The Reading Select Board unanimously voted to close the warrant for the Town Meeting scheduled Nov. 13, The Reading Post reported.
The warrant includes 12 articles.
Article 6 regards approving $2 million in funding for the second phase of the Birch Meadow Park project. This would include reconstruction of a municipal parking lot, improvement of basketball courts, and the reconstruction of a playground, according to the Select Board's agenda.

The Birch Meadow Park project was started earlier this year and involves adding parking spaces, restrooms, and a new walkway.
Other articles in the warrant include approving spending for roadway and sidewalk improvements, a parking lot at a town forest on Grove Street, and trash and recycling cans.

Article 12 is regarding funding for $200,000 eight temporary pickleball courts to be constructed adjacent to Burbank Ice Arena.
