Reading Special Election Tuesday: What You Need to Know
Voters will decide on the much-discussed Prop 2 1/2 on Tuesday.

The fate of the much-discussed Prop 2 1/2 override will finally be decided Tuesday in a Reading Special Election. If the override passes, a $7.5 million tax increase will follow. Supports say the town needs the money for the community - particularly for the schools. Detractors say the town is spending too much and questions accountability.
Where, when to vote?
Residents can vote at the Reading Memorial High School fieldhouse from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.
