Reading Symphony Orchestra - Join the Tradition

The RSO has currently has openings for strings, bassoon, trombones, harp, and percussion

Reading MA- The Reading Symphony Orchestra is welcoming new musicians!

The RSO is a community-based orchestra that rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7:15 – 9:30 PM at Coolidge Middle School in Reading, MA. Our first rehearsal of this season will be on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Our musicians range in experience from serious student players to devoted amateurs, to pros and come from all over Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine.

We present three concerts per season, which include performances in November, March, and May. At our November 2014 concert we will welcome our new Music Director and will perform Dvorak Symphony #8, Bizet Carmen Suite #1, Mendelssohn Hebrides Overture, and Debussy Nocturnes 1 & 2.

Violin I, Viola, Cello, Bass, Harp, Percussion

The mission of the Reading (MA) Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1931, is to provide access to live symphonic music to audiences of all ages in the North Suburban communities of Boston, to stimulate a greater public appreciation and enjoyment of music, to promote music education, and to provide the opportunity for amateur and professional musicians to continue their life - long study and performance of music.
