Reading Turns Out For 10th Annual Fall Street Faire
Event brings residents out for fun, food, and the opportunity to catch up with neighbors and friends.
READING - Athletes, politicians, princesses, and prisoners all turned out Sunday for the 10th annual Reading Fall Street Faire. Sponsored by the Reading Rotary, the event was held on a 60-degree overcast day but after the past week's searing heat, no one was complaining.
If you were hungry, the Faire was the place for you, with all the major food groups represented. If the appetizers were cotton candy, fried dough, and caramel apples, the main course was sausages, french fries, and of course, Harrows chicken pie. For desert, how about pumpkin cupcakes courtesy of Cupcake City, or fried dough and kettle corn. And there was plenty of water (thanks to the defending state champion Reading High girls' swim team) or lemon aide to wash it all down.
Among those in attendance were politicians running for office like Reading's own Erin Calvo-Bacci and North Reading's Brad Jones.
