Rosemary Porto Inducted into New England Design Hall of Fame

- The eighth annual awards induction and gala event took place on Wednesday, November 5 in the State Room at Sixty State Street in Boston -

Rosemary Porto, Senior Designer and Sales Manager for Poggenpohl - Boston, is honored to announce that she is one of the seven New England designers to be inducted to the New England Design Hall of Fame in 2014. The eighth annual awards induction and gala event took place on Wednesday, November 5 in the State Room at Sixty State Street in Boston, Massachusetts.

Now in its eighth year, The New England Design Hall of Fame honors individuals who have had pivotal careers in residential design in New England and have made significant contributions to the industry. A small number of top architects, interior designers, and landscape architects, selected by an esteemed panel of judges are inducted into the Hall of Fame at an annual ceremony each November.

“I am thrilled and grateful to be an inductee of the New England Design Hall of Fame,” states Ms. Porto. “Having my work honored in this way is a thrill of my career. I am humbled to be included in this esteemed group of professionals.”

Ms. Porto is one of the most renowned kitchen designers working in New England today. Architects and contractors reach out to her not only for her keen sense of style and design, but for her integrity, client commitment and her high level of professionalism. Ms. Porto is the recipient of many industry and design awards including three Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB) PRISM Awards, an International Furniture and Design Association (IFDA) Distinguished Member award in 2013, and a Poggenpohl Best Customer Service award in 2011. Her designs are incorporated into homes across America including Cape Cod and the Islands, Vermont, Florida, West Virginia, Kentucky, California, and New York City. Her passion for community service is evident, as she has spearheaded fundraising efforts for the Ronald McDonald House, The Women’s Lunch Place and the Over Your Shoulder Foundation, among many others.
