A Run, Lots Of Fun, and Fireworks At Friends and Family Day
Sponsored by Reading Lions Club, events start at 10 a.m. and end with fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

The weather report looks great, the performers are set, and the fireworks are ready to go. It's the 15th annual Reading Lions Club Friends and Family Day and it all gets underway at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Birch Meadow Fields.
This is Reading’s annual start of summer celebration. Join your neighbors for food, games, giveaways, entertainment and to learn about Reading's organizations, town services and local businesses. At 10 a.m. the day kicks off with the Friends of Reading Recreation (FORR) Kids Fun Run. Registration begins at 9 a.m. From 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. booths and a performance stage is open with giveaways, music, kids activities, demonstrations, miniature golf, a train, and a petting zoo (10:30 to 2:30). At 6:30 p.m. head over to the YMCA for a family movie and make sure to bring a blanket. The night ends with fireworks at approximately 9:15 p.m.
