This event has been a great community event for both Reading and North Reading, offers the opportunity to sample many different restaurants’ fare and helps support the many charitable causes of Rotary. Event Co-Chair Gregg Johnson said: “We’re overwhelmed with the response of our local restaurants and are so excited to bring such a fun and well-received event to both communities, while also raising funds for all the great causes of Rotary.”
Rotary is a humanitarian organization with local clubs throughout the world. Rotary is dedicated to six areas of focus to build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world to support our peace efforts and end polio forever. Those focus areas are: Promoting Peace; Fighting Disease; Providing Clean Water, Sanitation and Hygiene; Savings Mothers and Children; Supporting Education; and Growing Local Economies. Locally the Reading and North Reading Clubs have supported local food pantries, educational initiatives, scholarships, literacy programs, health and hunger programs, Scouting and many more community causes. The Rotary motto is Service Above Self.
