Team Unnatural Selection runs their 5th Reach the Beach Relay

Reading's Team Unnatural Selection completes their 5th Reach the Beach Relay running 203 miles from Bretton Woods to Hampton Beach.

Reading’s Team Unnatural Selection recently completed their 5th Reach the Beach Relay running road race from Bretton Woods, NH to Hampton Beach, NH.

Each of the 12 teammates ran 3 legs (ranging from 2.0 to 10.9 miles) of the race to complete the 203 mile race. The team placed 9th in their category (out of 50 in category) and 101th overall (out of 477 teams).

The race started at 9:30am on Friday September 16th and Unnatural Selection finished 28 hours 53 minutes later on Saturday the 17th. The team embraced the running with daytime highs well into the 70’s and a more comfortable mid 50’s during the night runs, and again with moderate heat on Saturday. Run, Rest, Repeat was the mantra.

The team is comprised of (Standing L to R) Sean Ronayne, Dan Kessinger, Chris Waller, Tim Brown, Bill Simmons, John Hugo, Sal Bramante (Team Co-Captain), Steve Spencer, Adam Chase and (Kneeling L to R) Derek Cribb, Pete Coumounduros (Team Co-Captain), and Sergio Rotstein.
