Town of Reading Provides Update on West Street Traffic Signals

The Town of Reading would like to take this opportunity to provide an update on the West Street traffic signals.

As of December 11, 2016, the Contractor activated the video detection component of the traffic signals along West Street. Video detection will reduce signal wait times and trigger green lights only when vehicles are present, ensuring more efficient traffic flows.

As a reminder, the project is still under construction and not 100 percent complete. Additional tuning on the signals may be required. The town thanks you for your patience and will continue to issue updates as needed.
