Two Arrests and Damaged Property

The following information was supplied by the North Reading police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the  from Monday through Tuesday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

At 8:31 a.m. on Tuesday, Christopher Davis, 26, of 9 Marblehead St., was arrested for a warrant.

At 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Larry Edward, 29, of 276B Park St., was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a warrant. 

Monday, Aug. 15

  • At 12:24 a.m., a Central Street resident called to report missing mail. She went out and when she returned, two open envelopes were in her mailbox.
  • At 11:13 a.m., a Swan Pond Road resident called to report lawn damage.
  • At 11:46 a.m., an employee from M&K Engineering on Concord Street called to report larceny that he caught on video. Police are investigating.
  • At 12:30 p.m., a Pickard Lane resident called to report mailbox damage.
  • At 2:49 p.m., an Advanced Photo employee reported larceny by check.
  • At 9:54 p.m., a Main Street resident called to report that her son was assaulted and he threatened to return to the scene and get revenge at a Main Street business.

Tuesday, August 16

  • At 9:41 a.m., a Mount Vernon Street resident called to report several mailboxes left open on his street.
  • At 11:11 a.m., an employee from Verizon called for an escort out of the parking lot because of strikers. Click here to read more about the strike.
  • At 2:55 p.m., an emergency caller reported a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Lisa Lane and Elm Street.
  • At 5:35 p.m., a Tower Hill Road resident called to report two males fighting on the corner of School Hill and Tower Hill Road.
