Water Discoloration In Parts Of Reading

A release from the Town of Reading:

The Town of Reading is experiencing some discoloration in the drinking water on Lowell Street, John Carver Rd, Harvard Rd, and other side streets off of Lowell Street in the North West part of the Town.

This discoloration is harmless even though it can look distasteful. Generally, the discoloration will clear within 12-24 hours.

Please have patience; we are investigating and working with diligence as we continually supply high quality water to our consumers yet all the while maintaining and running our water system professionally.
