Whitelam Celebrates Independent Bookstore Day April 28

Whitelam Books will be hosting local authors Renee Gelin, Joyce Poggi Hager, Dorian Hart, Mike Ryan, and Abby Rosmarin as part of their Independent Bookstore Day celebration on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Independent Bookstore Day is a one-day national party that takes place at over 500 indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April. At Whitelam Books, the Independent Bookstore Day celebration will include:

· Five local authors sharing their books

· Exclusive Independent Bookstore Day merchandise

· FIVE FREE Audiobooks + TWO FREE samplers, courtesy of Libro.fm

· And of course, the highly sought-after Whitelam Books balloons!

The five local authors will each be featured for an hour, starting at 10:30am. Their books encompass a variety of genres, including Young Adult Historical Fantasy, Memoir, and Fiction. The authors will appear at the following times:

· 10:30am – Joyce Poggi Hager

· 11:30am – Abby Rosmarin

· 12:30pm – Mike Ryan

· 1:30pm – Dorian Hart

· 2:30pm – Renee Gelin

Whitelam Books will offer exclusive day-of merchandise created especially for Independent Bookstore Day by major publishers and authors. Since its inception in 2014, more than 200 authors have demonstrated their support for independent bookstores by donating work for Bookstore Day.
