Annissa Essaibi George, candidate for Boston City Council At-Large, meets with community groups

Annissa Essaibi George, candidate for Boston City Council At-Large has been meeting with various community groups around Boston. This past Saturday she attended the Wonder Women of Boston Roxbury Sip+Share to learn more about the needs of professional women in the City.

As a City-Councilor, Annissa would support initiatives to lessen disparity in pay between women and their male counterparts, by continuing the wage negotiation trainings currently offered by the City.  As a small business owner herself, Annissa would like to see more initiatives that directly support women starting businesses in Boston. She would also work to empower young women as they enter the workforce, making sure they have the skill, knowledge and experiences preparing them for the world and that they understand their personal worth.
