Boston Pride Announces Boston Pride Pageant 2017

Gears & Garters, a Steampunk Paradise

WHAT:

The annual Pride Pageant at Club Café features contestants competing for the titles of Miss Boston Pride (Drag Queen), Mistah Boston Pride (Drag King), Ms. Boston Pride (cis/trans women and those who identify as female) and Mr. Boston Pride (cis/transmen and those who identify as male.) This year’s Pride Pageant theme is Gears & Garters, a Steampunk Paradise. The winners will appear in the Boston Pride Parade on June 10. Contestants will compete in creative presentation theme, talent, evening wear/evening gown and an on stage Q&A. The Pride Pageant will be hosted by Nikita Le Femme and Rocky Graziano.

In addition, there will also be special recognition for local drag legend Melinda Wilson who will be presented with the Sylvia Sydney Legendary Lifetime Achievement Award for 45+ years of draft performing and dedication to the Boston LGBTQ community.

Pageant Judges: Boston Pride 2017 Grand Marshal Kristen Porter, Miss Collegiate Area 2017 Samantha McGraw, Miss Boston 2017 Gabriela Taveras, Doug Arbetter, Candidate for Worcester City Council, Michael Johnson, Treasurer for Worcester City Pride.
