Boston Pride's Black & Latin@ Pride Present a Night of Comedy

Celebrate 2016 Pride Month with Boston Pride's Black & Latin@ Pride's first official comedy night at the Hard Rock Café, Boston.

WHAT: Boston Pride’s Black and Latin@ Pride is hosting a Night of Comedy at the Hard Rock Café as part of the 2016 Pride Month celebrations. The evening will begin with a Comedic Open-Mic where members of the audience are invited to participate. Headlining the show is comedian Sampson McCormick, award-winning entertainer named “One of the Funniest LGBT Comics” by OUT.com. Trained in improv, stand-up and acting, Boston’s own Shaun Bedgood will host the show.

WHO: Boston Pride’s Black and Latin@ Pride

Comedy Line-up:

Nonye Brown-West, a Nigerian-American comedian based in Boston seeking the approval that she seldom gets from her family.

Reece Cotton, Boston native and the gay daughter of a Baptist Pastor, brings humor to her struggles with managing bipolar disorder.

Xazmin Garza, new to the Boston comedy seen, uses being Latina from predominantly-white Utah to talk about race and feminism on stage.

Elena Jawitz, can be seen in the movie Ghostbusters III and is the annual host of Pride Rhode Island.

Miguel Perez, a regular at all the famous local comedy spots in Boston, Miguel uses his Mexican heritage in his jokes, and would often toggle between English and Spanish on stage.

Dylan Uscher, though very new to the Boston stand-up scene, Dylan has taken being gay, and a cancer survivor as material for his comedy.

This is a 21+ event. There will be a $15 entrance fee and $2 of every entrance fee will be donated to support the completion of a documentary about Transgender Human Rights in Bogota Colombia, a project that started in Boston with Diego Sanchez, Javier Pagan, Wilfred Labiosa and the Police Accountability Project.
