If You Love Your Pets, Watch Out for These Deadly Plants

If you love pets AND plants, read which plants can be deadly to Fido and Kitty.

While I'm more an animal lover than a gardener, I do appreciate the air-clearing benefits of house plants and the calming influence of a nicely tended garden. That said the best way to appreciate the best of both worlds is to be diligent when bringing your house pets and your plants together. Now that spring is (almost) in the air, it's more important than ever to know which house plants can be toxic to dogs and cats.

For instance, daffodils are dandy to brighten your home but can cause severe digestive woes to Ms Kitty. And Bowser better stay away from garden variety ivy since it can cause convulsions if digested. Click on "9 Deadly House Plants" to view a great, informative slide show from The Huffington Post's Green page that illustrates what pretty plantings to avoid if you love your pets.
