Former Bella Luna Colleagues Launch Professional Organizing Business

Roslindale, MA – Local Roslindale residents Sarah Clapham and Carol Downs have teamed up to start a professional organizing business for residential and small business clients. “Over time we all accumulate large numbers of possessions in our homes and work spaces. We tend to keep items long past the time when we actively use or enjoy them,” explains Ms. Clapham. As a result, closets, drawers, cabinets, work stations, desks and storage areas become over full. Items start accumulating in piles making day-to-day activities stressful. “We view de-cluttering as a form of self care. When your home or work space is organized so that you can find what you need when you need it and items are put away, you feel better, your customers feel better,” she adds. “Our mission is to help people breathe a little easier and most importantly find joy in their homes and businesses.”

Clapham and Downs have several decades of experience working together at the former Jamaica Plain landmark Bella Luna and The Milky Way. “It turns out that restaurant management is a great training ground for professional organizing,” observes Downs. “At the heart of our work is a genuine desire to make people happy.” The lean operating environment of hospitality also makes them very budget conscious. “Space is expensive to rent or own.
