Celebrate the New Year at Faneuil Hall Marketplace

Street performers and ice sculptures part of First Night/First Day celebrations

Faneuil Hall Marketplace is the place to be for New Year’s Eve weekend. Shop, dine and experience “THE ICE” at the Marketplace. Ring in the New Year and visit the collection of interactive, family-friendly ice sculptures, including the Blink! Ice Bench and Finding Dory, plus live street performers. Enjoy all the Marketplace has to offer from the 100 retail shops and pushcarts, to the 11 restaurants and pubs and the 30 food colonnade merchants.

“We invite everyone to ring in the New Year at Faneuil Hall Marketplace as we have great entertainment, shopping and dining all in the historic market. It’s fun for the whole family as you can take in our final shows of Blink! and see our world famous street performers,” said Carol Troxell, President of Faneuil Hall Marketplace Merchants Association. “We are looking forward to new and exciting happenings at the Marketplace in 2017 as we serve our customers from near and far.”

On New Year’s Weekend, the Marketplace is offering an eclectic lineup which will include musicians performing in the Rotunda at Quincy Market: Brian Stankus, Natalie Sellers, Boston Piano Kid, Jared Hanrahan and Joe Skahan. On Friday, December 30 you can see street performers Jason Escape and Wacky Chad. In addition, don’t miss the must-see holiday light and sound show Blink! daily from 4:30 pm to 9:30pm. Blink! is a state-of-the-art light and sound extravaganza featuring more than 350,000 LED lights that dance seamlessly to holiday music from the Boston Pops.
