Domino's Pizza NOT Coming to Roslindale Village

Roslindale Village Main Street leaders sent this letter saying that the owner of Domino's Pizza is no longer seeking to come to Roslindale Village:

Domino's Pizza has decided not to pursue a lease at 4238 Washington Street.  According to Anthony Ross, an attorney for Domino's, they decided that given the issues raised by the community they are considering other locations outside of Roslindale Village. 

Roslindale Village Main Street is pleased that Domino's listened to the over 200 Roslindale shop owners and residents who came to a community meeting on September 10th and overwhelmingly opposed Domino's coming into Roslindale Village.  Community volunteers gathered nearly 1,000 signatures on a petition and over a dozen Roslindale Village shop owners penned letters to the Boston Licensing Commission in opposition to Domino's.  And a delegation of over 20 people including residents and business owners were committed to attending a Licensing Commission hearing. 

Roslindale Village Main Street will continue to offer assistance to Chris Kotsiopoulos, the owner of 4238 Washington, to find tenants for his building that will add vitality to Roslindale Village.  Over 30 people from the September 10th meeting signed up to find independent businesses for the building and RVMS is waiting to hear back from Chris about ways of collaborating.
