Concert: Jason Vieaux and Julien Labro

Roxbury Latin is thrilled to announce this year's Claire Berman Artists in Residence: classical guitarist Jason Vieaux and accordion and bandoneón player Julien Labro, for a concert in the Smith Theater, open to the public.

Jason Vieaux has been described as one of the "youngest stars of the guitar world" (New York Times, 2010), and he has already recorded 11 albums, one of which (Bach; Works for Lute, Vol.1) reached #13 on the Billboard Classical Chart a week after its release. Julien Labro, who unites jazz and classical styles, has also recorded a number of albums and toured with a wide range of symphonies and chamber ensembles.

Since 2006, Claire Berman Artists in Residence at Roxbury Latin have included actors Tovah Feldshuh, Christopher Lloyd, Kate Burton, and Charles Holt; actor and director Roger Rees; poet laureate Billy Collins; and jazz artist John Pizzarelli.
