Former City Commissioner "Rescued" by the T
Ed Davis was one of many stuck on the disabled Amtrak train in Providence Tuesday.

The Amtrak train became disabled 6 miles south of Providence and workers helped about 200 passengers board the MBTA commuter train for a ride to Boston.
MBTA General Manager Beverly Scott is stepping down effective April 11 and the transit system, with a 30-day recovery plan, is currently in disarray.
