The Home for Little Wanderers Hosts 20th Annual Golf Tournament at Black Rock

Local residents hit the green to raise money to benefit one of the area's favorite child welfare agencies

The Home for Little Wanderers’ 20th Annual Generous Masters Golf Marathon returns to Black Rock Country Club, 19 Clubhouse Road, Hingham, MA, on Monday, September 15, 2014. This 36-hole tournament offers participants the option to play for a full or half day to raise money for one of New England’s largest non-profit child and family service agencies. The fundraiser features a morning and afternoon round of golf and includes a continental breakfast, lunch, reception and awards ceremony. Through programs like The Home for Little Wanderers’ Southeast Campus in Plymouth and others across Eastern Massachusetts, The Home’s services touch the lives of more than 7,000 children and families who are living in at-risk circumstances each year. Many of the children who come to The Home have had devastating experiences with abuse and neglect and struggle with emotional and behavioral issues. To learn how you can support The Home as a participant or sponsor of Generous Masters, visit www.thehome.org/gmgolf or contact Jamille Benson, jbenson@thehome.org, 617-927-0682.

For more than 200 years, The Home for Little Wanderers has earned a reputation for doing whatever it takes to strengthen vulnerable families and keep children safe in their communities, even when they don’t have family support. Serving children and youth from birth to 22, The Home makes a positive impact on over 7,000 lives across Boston and Eastern Massachusetts each year through a network of behavioral health services, therapeutic residential, special education, adoption and foster care. Additionally, a number of innovative programs provide specialized assistance to youth transitioning to adulthood from state systems of care. We continuously measure the impact of our work to develop and enhance our programs. We never give up on children. And we don’t let children give up on themselves.
