How do I survive another Winter in Roslindale

How do I survive another Winter in Roslindale?

That is one of many questions facing people over
60 and

their families who hope to “Age in Place” in Roslindale in the next 20
years.  Aging in Place advocates like Roslindale Village Elders strive to
provide information and assistance that keeps people living in their homes as
long as possible.

“Aging in Place” programs like Beacon Hill
Village in Boston are a source of information on
programs available to elders, provide social and recreational opportunities and
can provide referrals to homemakers, medical and shopping transportation, home
repair, and personal care often at a reduced
cost.

Roslindale Village Elders is organizing to see if there is support for a
similar program here.  Our first step is to provide a series of discussion
groups at the Roslindale Public Library.  The first of these addresses energy costs. A spokesperson from Mass Energy will discuss reduced oil prices,
energy audits and energy conservation projects.
