LOCAL MEDIA PERSONALITIES JOIN HOMESTART'S ANNUAL ICYCLE EVENT TO SWEAT FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Day-long outdoor spinning event raises funds and awareness for fight against homelessness
WHAT: Boston media personalities and sports mascots are joining an outdoor spinning marathon to support the Boston-based organization, HomeStart, for this year’s 9th annual ICycle event on Thursday, February 25, 2016. The all-day outdoor cycling/spinning fundraiser will take place on the plaza of One International Place, and feature hour long spin classes where participants will bike for a worthy cause. HomeStart is looking to break last year’s record amount when more than 200 riders raised about $203,000. Even if you are not spinning, you can donate to the cause. If you give $100 or more to the HomeStart team, you are eligible for a chance to win a trip for two to the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles in July. More info below.
The ICycle event is a reminder to all that spending just one hour out in the cold, rain or snow is nothing compared to living without the comforts of a home. Proceeds from the event will support HomeStart’s continued effort to fight homelessness.
